Affirmations: First Step In Creating A Positive Mindset

Affirmations are a good tool to use when wanting to switch from negative thinking to positive thinking. Affirmations help you train your brain to identify the difference between a negative thought and a positive thought. They essentially make you become self aware to your thoughts. A thought is simply a thought until you put your focus & attention on it. Then it becomes your vibration. That is when your thought that are focused and have put your attention on becomes your reality.

You are a think thought being and your thoughts create your reality. That is why being aware of what you are thinking, and putting out energetically is important. When I discovered the law of attraction, it took me years to figure it out. I got stuck in the “believe” stage of Ask Believe & Receive. I thought believe was over thinking about a person or a situation. Thinking about what or how I envisioned it to happen. I had no idea at the time that I had formed an attachment to outcomes, timelines, and had very specific expectations. I was basically trying to control the universe and had trust issues because I was impatient.

Once I discovered this block, I was able to surrender and worked on myself to trust. I found connecting to my inner child who was in dire need of healing and TLC was the key. I now understand that believe is believing it is already here and is meant for me. When you believe something is already yours, you don’t look for it because you already have it. I trust 100% that what is meant for me will never pass me by. Rejection is always for my divine protection. Yours too :)

Using affirmations helped me find self love. I found Louise Hay’s books extremely helpful and empowering. I said the affirmation “I LOVE ME” everyday while looking at myself in a mirror until I saw the love for myself mirror back to me.

Below are examples of affirmations. The key is to keep them general and not specific to a person or situation.

I am worthy

I am loved

I am protected

I am good enough

I am manifesting my dreams

Money is my best friend. I always have enough for everything that I need.

I naturally attract what is meant for me.
